Osceola Rod and Gun Club Nov. 30th, 1935 Activities of the Osceola Rod and Gun Club during the 1934 and 1935 year of the club. The club had a very successful year, starting out with the annual meeting, a full schedule was laid out. The annual rabbit hunt was very successful with 121 rabbits being killed. The Evens winning. The club took a very active part in the winter feeding of the ring neck pheasant, working continuously during the winter distributing several tons of feed, having about 75 feeding stations under their supervision. And finally winning first prize in the state contest on winter feeding. Considerable correspondence was carried on about the sceining of rough fish from the St. Croix River. The Minnesota Conservation Commission and the Wisconsin Conservation Department had been contacted on this and assurance was received from them that they would be in favor of this sceining if done under proper supervision. Considerable fish were received and planted in our lakes and streams during the summer: Black Bass, Sunfish, and other fish received from the state and federal government.
The club also took an active part rendering their help in purchasing the Fish Hatchery north of Osceola on highway 35. Carrying on considerable
correspondence with officials, Assemblymen and Senators. Contacting other clubs, getting out petitions, and gave what assistance they could
in getting the law passed.

Called to order by President, 19 members present.
It was moved and carried that the club have two field captains. Robert Schustz and Aaron Stelling were elected field captains. It was moved, seconded, and carried that the annual meeting be held on the third Monday of September. It was moved and carried that the officers act as Supply committee and Membership committee. It was voted that the club join Winter Feeding contest. It was moved, seconded. and carried that the club go on record as protesting the present large rifle law; that this law should be so amended that large rifles are only to be carried with permits and during deer season, or on occasion when going to some rifle match. It was moved. seconded, and carried that the club advertise to offer a reward of $10.00 to anyone reporting a violation of the Game, Fish, and Fur laws of Wisconsin and this report is to lead to an arrest and conviction of the violator. This also includes any information as to the whereabouts of an illegal Game, Fish, or Fur. This is mot to go into effect until advertised and the club retains the rights to with call this reward at any special or regular meeting. It was moved that the club go on record as in favor of a bounty on foxes of $2 to $4. The club also goes on record as in favor of a weekend fishing license. The club goes on record as favoring a license on boats for hire when a person has five or more boats. Fox hunt Sunday, Jan. 19th, 1936. Meeting adjourned.
