Osceola Rod and Gun Club March 1 1934


Show was held at the Spanish Garden and gun was raffled. The winner was Conrad Peterson of Dresser Jct.

A talk was given by Father Walsh.

A talk was given by warden Hope.

Conrad Peterson decided to take cash for the gun, $12.80, April 5th, 1934.

The balance in the bank is $41.52.

Activities of the Osceola Rod and Gun Club,
from Nov. 1933 to Nov. 1934


The first activity was winter feeding of our pheasants and other birds, the club entered the state contest winning the 1st Prize for smaller clubs. The prize was 50 mongolian pheasants, these are being liberated in the community of Osceola, Nye, and Dresser Jct.

The stocking of lakes and streams.
Application was made to National Conservation Commission for black bass, the club received some and were stocked in Round Lake. Applications were made for trout and these were stocked in local streams and McKenzie brook.

The club received 350 chinese pheasant eggs and these have been hatched by members and the birds liberated.

The committee on regulations took an active part in attending all county meetings regarding the regulation of game laws.

The club had a very successfull year and we hope that this will continue.

The club also maintains a rifle range for small bore rifles.
